We exist to put the same AI capabilities that power enterprise teams into the hands of the people building the future one step at a time: independent creators, solo operators, and growing businesses.

Mercatura didn't begin with a business plan. It began with a friendship. More than a decade before the company existed, two technologists spent their nights building ideas together and debating how technology should actually work for people.

Between them they bring over thirty years of combined experience across software engineering, enterprise systems, digital transformation, and emerging technologies. One belief runs through all of it: technology should make life easier, not more complicated.

As AI accelerated, they watched small businesses and solopreneurs end up surrounded by powerful tools, but built for teams with the time, budget, and staff to use them. AI's problem wasn't capability. It was packaging.

In November 2024 they registered Mercatura in Houston, Texas, and started with two bets. STVARA: creating on-brand content should not require a content team. Praetix: running a business's social presence should not require an operations department. Both bets proved right, and both are live products today.
