AI's problem wasn't capability. It was packaging.
Small businesses aren't short on AI. They're surrounded by it. The tools were packaged for teams with the time, budget, and staff to use them. That gap is where Mercatura builds.
As AI accelerated, Mercatura's founders watched small businesses and solopreneurs end up surrounded by powerful tools — but built for teams with the time, budget, and staff to use them. The technology was never the problem.
AI's problem wasn't capability. It was packaging.
What packaging actually means
Capability was already there. What was missing was a way in: something a one-person business could pick up between customers, without a marketing department, a designer, or an operations team behind them. That gap is where Mercatura builds — intelligent tools for the teams the enterprise forgot.
Two live products, one in development
Mercatura has two live products, each removing a specific burden, and a third in development against a different one:
- STVARA — for on-brand content. Creating on-brand content should not require a content team. Describe your business in a sentence and STVARA turns your idea into a branded flyer, social post, or ad — designed, on-brand, and ready to go. You are never locked into a template: every design is yours to edit, refine, and export.
- Praetix — for social publishing. Running a business's social presence should not require an operations department. One description of your business becomes a batch of ready-to-post content, published to Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn on a smart schedule, with analytics on what's working — no copy-pasting between apps.
- LotForma — for site feasibility, in development. Judging a site shouldn't require a specialist's week. Enter an address and LotForma reads the zoning, sizes the buildable envelope, benchmarks construction cost, and flags the risks, so you can decide which sites deserve a deeper look. It is an invite-only pilot in development, and it is explicit about what it is: an early screening aid, not zoning verification or professional advice.
The mission behind the packaging
Mercatura exists to put the same AI capabilities that power enterprise teams into the hands of the people building the future one step at a time — independent creators, solo operators, and growing businesses. Our products are designed around a simple belief: AI should do the heavy lifting so you can do the thinking.
Three principles guide every product decision: we build for what's next, not just for what's asked; we make powerful AI approachable for smaller teams; and we design tools to evolve alongside the teams that use them. Packaging is what turns capability into something a small business can actually use today.
Two live products and one in development, all one mission. If that sounds like the kind of tooling your business needs, see how our products fit together — or get in touch.
